The European Society of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (ESCMID) and the Healthcare Infection Society (HIS) are drafting the scope for our next joint guideline on the topic of environmental sampling to detect multidrug resistant bacteria and Clostridioides difficile for infection prevention and control purposes.

This will be a European guideline developed according to GRADE methodology. We are seeking stakeholder views on the topic areas and the scope that guideline should cover. Please submit your comments using the feedback form.

Please send your responses to consultations@his.org.uk  by 5pm 16 May 2025. Please be aware that we are not able to consider your comments if you do not complete and sign the Conflict-of-Interest declaration attached at the end of the form.
