Honorary Membership is awarded to individuals in recognition of their outstanding and unique contribution to the Society, over and above that which might normally be delivered by holding a Society role or office, or through involvement in Society activities.
The award of Honorary Membership entitles the recipient to complimentary life membership of the Society.

Hilary Humphreys The award of Honorary Membership recognises Hilary's committed and longstanding contribution to the Society, and the generosity with which he has shared his time and expertise in supporting the development and delivery of the HIS educational programme over many years. In particular the Society acknowledges his role as Society President during the challenging period of the pandemic and your extensive input into other society activities and particularly in guideline development. |

Tim Boswell Tim was awarded Honorary membership recognition of the generosity with which he shared his time, vision and expertise in supporting conferences and courses for the Society. In particular the Society acknowledges his role in chairing the FIS/HIS conferences and the development of the Outbreaks Training Course, which he continues to deliver regularly. |
