Abstract submissions

We are welcoming abstracts for presentation at HIS Annual Conference 2025. Abstracts covering the programme topics are encouraged:

• Novel Aspects of the Built Environment
• Artificial Intelligence
• Whole Genome Sequencing
• Emerging hot topics in IPC

Abstracts will be considered by the programme committee for presentation as an oral or poster presentation. 

To submit your abstract, download this word template and submit by emailing admin@his.org.uk by Friday 21 March 2025.

Authors will be advised on the outcome of their abstract submission by Fri 4 April.

Abstracts should contain:

• A title
• Author details
• An initial statement of specific objectives of the study
• A brief statement of methods
• A summary of results and conclusions

Abstracts should be no longer than 250 words (excluding Title and author info)

Please define abbreviations at their first occurrence and avoid using them in the title. Please ensure that appropriate scientific nomenclature is used.
