Sue Millward

Sue is a highly experienced infection Prevention and Control Nurse with over 30 years of IPC experience within both the NHS and Independent Healthcare sectors. Sue is currently working at NHS England as one of the Clinical Leads within the National IPC team, taking the lead on IPC Education.

Sue was awarded the Infection Prevention and Control Practitioner of the Year Award in 2016 and won the Nursing Times Award for IPC in 2017. Sue has a passion for all things Infection Prevention and Control but particularly in empowering others and driving safety standards to prevent harm through infection prevention.

Sue has presented and published papers on the topic of Infection Prevention and control both nationally and internationally and was the first Editor of the Journal of Infection Prevention.
