NHSE IPC Education Framework level: This course aligns to Advanced level on the framework
This session allows the IPC Leader to understand how HCAI data can be collected and reported most effectively and how it can be used as a basis for improving the quality of care.
After attending, delegates will be able to:
- Describe how to make the case for a successful surveillance programme.
- Analyse and present data to effect a sustained change in IPC and AMS.
- Explain the role of artificial intelligence in infection prevention.
- Describe the role of new methods for HCAI data collection.
- Understand the real costs of HCAI and how these can be calculated.
- Describe how surveillance data can be translated into improved clinical and IPC practice.
Accreditation will be sought from the Royal College of Pathologists for 5 CPD credits. A Certificate of attendance will be provided after the event for delegates who attend the full day.
