Brendan Payne 

Brendan Payne is a consultant Virologist and Infectious Diseases Physician at Newcastle-upon-Tyne Hospitals where he leads the HCID service, HIV service and ME/CFS service. Clinically, he is interested in anything related to viruses.

He is also an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at Newcastle University where he runs the MRes programme for intercalating medical students. Brendan is also involved in a range of research, including clinical trials, diagnostic device evaluations, and laboratory research on mitochondrial dysfunction in HIV.
