Pauline Jumaa

Pauline Jumaa is a Consultant Microbiologist at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham and the Infection Control Doctor for the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital, Birmingham. She has over 25 years’ experience as a Consultant Microbiologist and Director of Infection Prevention and Control /Infection Control Doctor, including experience in Europe and the Middle East. She is a senior examiner for the Royal College of Pathologists, an editor for Infection Prevention in Practice and is a member of the International Editorial Board of the Journal of Hospital Infection. Since 2012 has chaired a joint working party of the British Burn Association and Healthcare Infection Society to develop Infection Prevention and Control guidance for burn services.
