FIS Webinar: Beyond Training: Building your Career through Infection Societies

This new webinar series has been developed in the lead-up to FIS International 2026 in Glasgow this November, with a focus on some of the key workforce issues affecting the infection community. Through the series, we hope to bring together colleagues from across infection specialties to share experiences, opportunities and practical ideas to support people at different stages of their careers.
The webinar focused on building your career through infection societies and highlighted the many ways in which professional societies can support your development — through networking, mentoring, education, research and leadership opportunities — and, importantly, give you some practical ideas about how to get involved.
The webinar is freely available for all members of infection workforce across the UK, spanning clinical, scientific, and public health roles.
