FIS Webinar: Infection Specialist Workforce Report

HIS is delighted to be hosting a new Federation of Infection Societies (FIS) webinar series, which covers key workforce themes for members of the infection community throughout the UK.

The first webinar features a keynote presentation from the Chief Medical Officer, Professor Chris Whitty, who will highlight key messages from the CMO infection report.

This session will also outline how infection services align with the NHS 10-Year Plan, discuss current workforce realities, and opportunities for service redesign.

This webinar will bring together a coordinated voice across infection societies, giving support for the CMO’s report and promoting collaborative efforts to find practical solutions to reduce healthcare-associated infections. Crucially, the aim is to signal national alignment and intent, and to catalyse a tangible, collective response from the professional community.

The webinar is freely available for all members of infection workforce across the UK, spanning clinical, scientific, and public health roles.
